This picture reminds me each and every time I see it just how patient and loving Sonny Mone is. When I first bought him, he was impossible to put a bridle on he was so ear shy. A few years later, and he stands quietly while I fiddle with them for a silly picture. He’s been a total dream to train, and though I know most people in my shoes would have sold him before college, especially after my riding accident, when you’ve found that perfect horse you just can’t let them go. I’m thankful every day that the stars aligned just right so I could get him. My little ex-reiner turned Arabian show gelding is so much more than I ever had hoped for, and I hope all riders have the opportunity to love and be loved by a horse like him. I can’t wait till the next time I’m home to see him :)
